Last week we continued getting the walls up. We demoed the exterior of the kitchen addition and got those walls up. This went much the same as last week except that the walls couldn't be built on the sub-floor as easily.

This was due to the rough plumbing that was in the way as well as the fact that the floor area was not large enough to build the final end wall. Fortunately we had help this weekend from Stacie's brother and a friend of ours.
Once we got the final three kitchen walls up, we moved on to installing the second top plate on all

the walls as well as all the fire blocking which is also used for attaching the sheetrock. This went pretty smoothly and we even got as far as installing the exterior wall sheathing on the kitchen addition.

We also ordered our windows and doors last week. The girls were real troopers, but it wore them out (as you can see).
This week we will be finishing the exterior sheathing on the bedroom addition and
this weekend we will hopefully be starting the ceiling and roof.

Our lumber is coming for this at the end of this week.
